this morning #1759.
this morning, in the middle of working on a somewhat significant project with a somewhat short deadline for a somewhat needy client, the power went out. not sure why but it stayed that way for a few hours. the groove i was in was ruined. to take my mind off the delay, i played with the cat for a while. then, when she got bored of me, i wrote you this poem: when we were kids, we had big dreams. grand visions of what we wanted to be. as we grew up, we let some go as life spoke up & told us “no.” it didn’t mean that we ceased dreaming. it just means we now believe in more realistic sorts of goals like connection with compelling souls. for now, for me, that dream’s achieved. your soul brings out the best in me.
