this morning, i’d be a fool if i didn’t give a nod to today’s holiday, the one day where, if i may, we’re permitted to be a little playful. not necessarily in a pranking way. that’s not really my cup of tea. for me, it’s all about a little light fooling during the day. more than usual. perhaps a white lie or two. you? can’t believe i’ve never asked. i bet you’re a real prankster gangster. please note: i can take a joke. also note: today’s poem is no joke. i’m SO serious. love your laugh. i hear it now. honest & restrained. gives me chills. fills up every corner of my brain. oh the sound! oh how you just radiate pure joy! oh the way your delight does a number on this boy! if i’d never heard it, i’d be mighty blue. can’t wait to share another laugh with you.
