this morning #1609.
this morning, i’d decided to stay home. hoped to give some thought to what i ought to do to move past the memory of when our cousins stole our clothes while we were all out skinny dipping, threatened to run away with them & made us play with ourselves to earn them back. they waited for us to do as we were told & stood there laughing at us when we finally did, acting like it was hilarity of the highest form. “you two are nasty.” they swore us to secrecy. threatened us before giving back our clothes. up til today, we’ve stayed silent. don’t know why we’ve complied but we have. after sitting home all day, i now know what i have to do. bring the truth to light no matter what the fallout might be. tell someone. probably mom.
