this morning #1604.
this morning, after i’d given up on scouring my family’s photo albums for answers, i turned on the TV & landed on a show called the wonder years. watched a few episodes. though it’s set in the 60’s, it felt way too familiar. the main character’s this kid named kevin. same age as me. he’s got this pal named paul who reminds me of every guy i’ve ever been friends with. loyal. sensitive. perpetually worried. strong sense of right & wrong. good listener but deficient in problem solving. prone to blowing up if pushed. in one episode, they’re at odds. kevin says paul sucks at basketball but then paul makes the team. in my current state of mind, it’s just the kind of silly fight that i might get caught up in right now. glad i played sick today.
