this morning #1595.
this morning, i actually did it. hard to believe. i spoke to sherri. just like i’d planned. i think it went well. caught her at her locker in between classes. just walked right up & introduced myself. her voice wasn’t at all what i’d expected. thick accent. i asked her about that. turns out she moved here from poland. POLAND! when she said that, i felt a wave of excitement roll over me. you always hear about foreign exchange students but never expect to meet one in real life, especially one so cute. when the bell rang for class, i asked her if she wanted to hang out after school. she looked at me, shrugged her shoulders & said “sure.” not quite the level of interest i’d like but i’ll take it. later on, the foreign exchange student & i have a date!
