this morning #1513.
this morning, before the sun had even come up, he got in the car & was off. back to town. he tried to say goodbye but i wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction. i get that his attorney has advised him to sit down with the people who tried to kill us. i get the need to deescalate the situation before someone actually gets hurt. still, they tried to kill us. tried to kill our children. we’re homeless, for chrissake. their apology needs to go beyond words. if he can’t make them make us whole, he’s a coward. the man i married wasn’t fearless but he wasn’t a coward either. he’d fight for his family. he’s done it before. in this instance, i’d respect him more if “being the bigger man” meant throwing his weight around.
